lots of stuff.

I'm far overdue to clean out my closet and hope to get to it this weekend (doubtful).  You know I hate clutter, but sometimes a lot of stuff can look so nice...

 (pretty collected glass)

(mason jars filled with spices and cooking secrets)

(I always love tons of books)

(I can get behind wanting a lot of dishes)

(there's always room for more wine glasses)

But it's simple sentiment.  I'll never give up my purging ways!

snow days mean...

(Working from home in whatever you like)

(Popovers for breakfast (get a great recipe from Williams-Sonoma))

 (dance breaks with roommates)

(watching Saved By The Bell reruns at lunch)

What do snow days mean to you?

celebrate the weekend

Excited to have a full weekend in Boston and do what I want.  I feel like I've settled into winter and 2011 nicely.  Many celebrations this weekend, including one teary goodbye party for a dear friend moving to London for two years.  Now I just need to get to the grocery store... Stay warm, friends.

flash wedding

When I saw on boston.com that someone had a flash wedding over at the Prudential Center, I was skeptical.  But then I watched the video and as soon as the bride started tearing, so did I.  I'm such a sucker for weddings and if that's their style and it brought them joy, good for them.  Watch:

However, even with all the lovely sentiment, I do not condone proposals via Groupon.

desk space savers

Great article in Apartment Therapy today about desk space savers for a small home work station.  Into it.  Read all about it here.

possibilities for 2011

I haven't taken as much opportunity to do some critical thinking about my 2011.  Oh, I've done a bit, but it's not quite done yet...hopefully I'll be able to fully envision it after the weekend.  Right now, the short strokes, without getting too much into it, are: be as bold as I was at 19, be as tenacious as I was at 22 and see possibility as clearly as I could at 23.

But wouldn't it be lovely to write down everything you want in the year on tags and turn your Christmas tree into a Possibility Tree?  It's my own take on Yoko Ono's Wish Tree.  Read more about it here.
