I am so into pretty studs. Not the man kind (I mean, those, too), but the kind for your ears. Having almost no earlobes (truth), I don't look great in dangly earrings, so I opt for a pretty stud. And Ms. Jamie's shop Furbish over at ISuwannee is making me reach for my wallet. I think I'll bring home these three for summer and beyond.
What do you think? Too much?

pretty, delicate & expressive necklaces - just like you
I walked away from buying this gold plated pen nib necklace at a local boutique in Newport Beach. Boy, was I sad. I've been on the hunt for a little gold necklace, and this one was so expressive, so me. So, I did what any other 21st-century-savvy gal would do and found it online on the designer's website, Erica Weiner. Right in New York, she creates pieces from found objects; very rustic, vintage. Her pieces capture Americana - they're whimsical with spirit. I've got my eye on a few more...

coastal christmas
While the Berkeley Penthouse has more traditional deocrations, it wasn't that long ago that my Los Angeles home had a tree and mantle greenery with starfish and shell garland and a stuffed lobster topped my tree. With my trip home to Laguna Beach this very evening, it made me think about decorating for a christmas at the beach. Coastal Living has a lovey article this month about decorating for the holidays with some great pictures for inspiration.

delicate & fancy
I am so pleased to host my first jewelry party for my co-worker & friend Michelle at my abode in less than two weeks, Tuesday, December 7th at 7pm. The line is Meghan Browne and it's great costume jewelry at a fraction of the price for what you might pay elsewhere. Big chunky necklaces for $30 bucks? So in. Check out all the goodness and if you're in Boston and you'd like to come, let me know! It's just in time for holiday shopping for others or for yourself for all those holiday parties.

little gold necklace
Holler back to my friend and fellow blogger Nicole Cammorata over at Scarlet&Sterling who posted this gorgeous gold and diamond lobster claw for me via itsgeorgeholmes' shop over at etsy. To bad it's $1,175 or it would be mine. It's the perfect replacement to the little initial "A" gold necklace I sadly lost last month (it mysteriously came off my neck, drat!). I have been hunting for my next "little gold necklace," so this one got me thinking what else I might like...
(a small gold leaf from crowscatch)
(a gold sand dollar from The Bumbling Bird)
(a simple circle from Art Wark)
I can't decide. I'll know it when I see it.

M.Flynn Just Gets Me
Imagine my surprise when I saw a familiar pair of pink flower-shaped earrings as I opened my monthly issue of Real Simple Magazine. To see Boston's own (and my favorite local jewelry designing sister-duo) M. Flynn Accessories gaining recognition on a national setting gave me pure delight. Their studio is right down the street from me and visiting always makes me happy. Delicate necklaces, fabulous cocktail jewelry and even notecards. I always can find something to covet at their studio. They've also opened a special occassion shop within their store called Fete - can't wait to check it out! Some of my favs, including the featured earrings. Check out their website for more pretty things to make you feel like a new woman.
