With summer here and inspiration bursting, I can't help but think of one of my favorite artists, Andrew Wyeth. The images he's painted have lived in my mind since my summers in Maine. His work is vivid and melancholy and brings about emotion in me that I have a hard time describing. I find his work fascinating and how I feel about each one of his works can change from year to year. He passed away a year and a half ago. I would have liked to have met the man that illustrated my summer dreams. I aim to buy one of his paintings someday...someday.
